Omas Galileo Galilei Limited Edition Fountain Pen
[Galileo]
Our Price: $995.00

The Omas Limited Edition Galileo Galilei fountain pen in 12-sided wild celluloid celebrates the 650th anniversary of the University of Pisa, 1343-1993. The design and the color evoke the mysteries of the universe, one of whose first students was the great Italian scientist, Galileo Galilei. A personality of vast and eclectic talents, he worked in mathematics, physics, astronomy and hydraulics, and was an excellent writer, too.

Galileo was born in 1564 in Pisa, and the edition size for this release is 4692 which is three times his birth year. Three is the number of times his lens was capable of enlarging the stars, expressed in times. The pen is piston filled and features a broad two-tone 18K gold nib achieved with a platinum mask, and Greek key patterned band in rolled white gold.

The Omas Limited Edition Galileo Galilei fountain pen is presented in a clear perspex container, its shape recalling the concept of the lens and Galileo's observation of the stars. Outer box and papers included.
